PitFit Training May Newsletter

It’s our favorite time of year over here at PitFit Training and we are finally green on the month of May here in beautiful Indianapolis! We’ve got plenty to celebrate already across several of the racing disciplines we support and we’re just getting warmed up. With the weather finally warming up as well, it’s going to be time to hit the track, lose the bulky clothes and get out and do things. We invite you to join us whether a driver, American Ninja Warrior like our Scott Dixon will be on NBC on May 30th, one of our members attending classes or signing up for our global online training. Be your best this season.

Are you PitFit Prepared?
Summer Schedule
With summer just around the corner, we’ve trimmed up our schedule just a bit and will be holding off on our QuickFit classes usually held on Tuesday and Thursday.  No worries though, we’re replacing those time slots with open gym time and will have your workout waiting on the board for you!
Global Online Training
Not in Indy but still want to have the benefit of world class training? Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was just in town taking a driver assessment that will assist us in designing the program he will be able to continue back at home in North Carolina. Our Global Online Training includes three months of a customized program just for you and your overall goals, full access to our online video library and a 30 minute coaching call each month from the trainers who work directly with our race car drivers here at the training center. #PitFitPrepared #PitFitStrong

PitFit in the News
With May being a big month in our home town of Indy, we’ve been featured quite a bit already so we can share what goes into preparing a driver to handle the rigors of the Indianapolis 500. Click on the photo below to link to the feature on us in USA Today this week, currently 11 of 35 Indy 500 drivers train with us!

Want a peek at what our program is all about? Check out Sherman Burdette having a go at it at PitFit Training as he trains like an IndyCar driver:  http://fox59.com/2018/05/14/train-like-an-indycar-driver-at-local-gym/
We welcomed Dale Coyne Racing’s Pietro Fittipaldi to PitFit this week to start his rehabilitation from two broken legs sustained during a crash while qualifiying for the season opening FIA World Endurance Championship Six Hours of SPA. If our track record holds true, we’re guessing he is going to finish up stronger than ever once we get him back up to speed.
Speaking of our Motorsports Training Programs, it’s time to take a look back at 2017 when we launched our “I Am PitFit” video which can be viewed in it’s entirety below and features several of our drivers currently training with us. I Am PitFit gives a glimpse into our Driver Performance Program. The wide range of drivers, from karting to the IndyCar Series, highlights that any driver will benefit from our world-famous concepts.
Train Like A Champion

We’re going to bring you up to date on how our racing seasons are going so far but how does one start the month of May without a little throwback to what it’s really all about here in Indy? Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!

We had a two very familiar PitFit faces on the podium last weekend for the IndyCar Grand Prix last weekend. But don’t worry, the third wants a PitFit back in Mooresville, NC so he can work on that endurance. #PitFitStrong
Double Trouble? We don’t think so! Colton Herta fought for the win at both Indy Lights races this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. #PitFit Strong
Alexander Rossi has been  making a strong start to the season with a P1 start and win at the Toyota Grand Prix Long Beach. He’s hoping to repeat his 2016 Indy 500 win in a few short weeks and we’ve got a lot of other PItFit drivers with their eye on the prize as well…we’re hoping for a familiar face on the Borg Warner Trophy this year!  #WeWantTheBorg
Platinum Masters Winner Charlie Luck from Wright Motorsports @wrightrac1ng made trainer Alex Wanee and all the rest of us here at PitFit proud with a 2nd place finish at the IMSA GT3 Challenge, Charlie is one of our participants in Global Online Training and is really seeing his hard work pay off on the track.
Meanwhile on the dirt tracks, PitFit member Justin Grant @justin_grant_racing picked up the USAC Nation Silver Crown on April 29th in Terre Haute!
J R Todd has moved up in the standings this year in NHRA Funny Car thanks to back to back wins in Vegas and Houston!  check out his full schedule at http://www.nhra.com
Ayrton Houk Racing had a dominating karting weekend at Newcastle Motorsports Park a few weeks ago as well, finishing P1 in his LO206 race, P1 in his Yamaha Jr 1 race and P3 in his Yamaha Jr 2 race. #PitFitPrepared
